Nan Tien Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere. It's located in Wollongong, a seaside city that lies between the Illawarra Escarpment and Pacific Ocean, roughly 50 miles (82 kilometres) south of Sydney. The temple is open to the public and also has a tea house restaurant that serves a wonderful oriental vegetarian lunch one day a week.

Hmmm, chastised...oh yeah! Now I remember, word of advice to any future visitors. No photos inside the temple area! Oops... I'll post some more of the children statues and the really huge dinner bell :c] (gong/bell) that was at the top of the hill. It was a really gorgeous overlook of Wollongong. Thanks Glenda!
